Adventure doesn’t end for the effervescent heart of mine. Its been a bumpy ride, winding through thickets, treacherous mountain roads, crystal-clear lakes, ever winding cascades and more. On a recent trip to Germany, I discovered the most blissful things in life, cycling through vineyards and pastures and uphill cornfields, walking through the plum and apple orchards in Southern Germany and so much more. I tripped on pebbles, felt the cold water wash over my feet at the river bank, sauntered through the maze like patches of freshly bloomed flowers.. Being in the lap of Mother nature makes you realize things spiritually, its the intangible connection..anyway, back to my trip to Germany.
The best of all places I visited was the Rhine Valley, north of Germany. A wide valley, dotted with woods and vineyards, the perfect place to relax on a lazy vacation, a hit amongst the romantics (Pun intended). A picture perfect view of castles, cathedrals, and city halls resting for years on the brink of the riverbed set my gray cells ticking to paint its beauty in words. I also had the privilege of attending ‘Rhine in Flames’ a music concert with the most spectacular display of fireworks. Though I couldn’t understand the lyrics in German, but I could certainly feel the universality of the celebration of Rhine’s beauty.
A memorable trip is one that makes you realize the finer things in life. It may not be all too perfect but it leaves its mark in your travel diary. For me, the trip to Germany was one such sojourn that left my traveler’s appetite wanting more. Pity, I couldn’t extend it.
